Asia KLEMS started as a part of the World KLEMS initiative, and the First Asia KLEMS Conference was held in Tokyo in July 2011. The Second Asia KLEMS intended to have a comprehensive review of productivity in Asia. Since Asia has rich cultural heritage and human capital, we wanted to highlight its potential to develop a Creative Economy through enhancing the productivity in its knowledge-based economy. This conference was organized by the Asia KLEMS Committee and was supported by the following institutions: Bank of Korea, Korea Productivity Center, Asian Development Bank, Global COE Hi-stat, ERII-Japan and RIETI of Japan.
