Overview
This research project aims to elucidate the roles of human and financial capital, as well as their relationships with external organizations, in start-up promotion, through empirical analyses and policy-oriented discussions. From the perspective of the diversity of human and financial capital and diverse inter-organizational relationships, we examine how start-ups can be effectively promoted, thereby contributing to innovation-driven growth. In particular, we investigate the developmental processes that have evolved from Japan’s rigid labor practices and bank-centered financing systems. By presenting evidence derived from international comparisons, we seek to offer practical policy implications toward fostering innovation through entrepreneurship.
