RIETI Visiting Fellow Dr. Kazuo YAMAGUCHI has been selected as a Person of Cultural Merit for the year 2020.
The Persons of Cultural Merit system selects people who have made outstanding cultural contributions to the advancement and development of Japanese culture.
As the leader of the project "Establishing Evidence-Based Policy Making in Japan" at RIETI, Dr. Yamaguchi conducts research on EBPM and disseminates its methods in Japan. In order to create a society in which diverse individuals can shine, he also conducts a variety of research on diversity, which covers work-life balance, female advancement and other related topics.
