On November 3, 2022, RIETI Faculty Fellow UESUGI Iichiro’s book The Economics of SME Finance: The roles of financial institutions and the government (Nikkei Publishing Inc.) was awarded the 65th Nikkei Prize for Excellent Books in Economic Science, co-hosted by Nikkei Publishing Inc. and the Japan Center for Economic Research (JCER). The prize was established in 1958 to contribute to the advancement of academics and knowledge in the fields of economics, management, and accounting, as well as to its general dissemination and application.
