RIETI-Bruegel Webinar

Indo-Pacific and Europe: Growing partnerships in support of rules-based trade order
—How should the EU and the Indo-Pacific region cooperate for a resilient trade order?

Announcement

As the global trade order faces fragmentation and rising US protectionism, deeper cooperation between the EU and Indo-Pacific partners is more urgent than ever. This online event jointly organised with Bruegel will explore how the Indo-Pacific region - especially Japan - and Europe can lead efforts to rebuild a resilient, rule-based trade framework. It will focus on approaches that go beyond specific trade activities. The discussion will include scenarios like the CPTPP-EU convergence.
