During the pandemic, trade nationalism emerged as countries pursued self-interested policies to shield themselves from the impact of the virus – from vaccine rollouts to supply chain reshoring and restricting access to critical medical supplies. How can new trade barriers in the post-COVID-19 world be avoided?
