RIETI-CEPR Symposium

Brexit: On the future of the UK and the global economy

Announcement

As a result of the United Kingdom's (UK) referendum to leave the European Union (EU), Japanese companies operating there are pressed to make difficult decisions for their future business development. In light of this, RIETI and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), one of Europe's leading economic research institutions, are jointly hosting a symposium to discuss the future prospects and challenges that we face with Brexit.

In the first half, leading researchers from CEPR will give talks on three topics: trade and investment, labor market, and international financial markets. In the second half, Japanese experts from business, academia, and government will join to discuss Brexit and its impact on the global business environment.
