Announcement
This workshop presents some of the results from the Study Group on Economic Development in China from the RIETI research project "Changes in Multinational Corporations, Trade Structures, and Market Institutions." In this project, spillover effects from foreign-affiliated firms to Chinese firms caused by R&D activities are verified using industry data from China.
RIETI has invited Mr. Chen Xiao Hong, Director, Enterprise Research Institute of Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), to make a presentation on the challenges and prospects of Chinese trade and economic conditions in the worldwide economic crisis. Mr. Chen will also share his thoughts on the recent robust R&D activities of Chinese firms. The details are as follows.
