Announcement
As part of a research project titled "Research on a Currency Basket," a group of 15 experts (hereinafter called G-15) assembled for a plenary meeting that was held in Seoul and hosted by the North East Asia Research (NEAR) Foundation. It was co-hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), the East Asian Monetary Institute (EAMI) (which is part of the NEAR Foundation), and the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI).
G-15 consists of five researchers from Japan, China and South Korea, respectively. The participants assemble to exchange candid views to further promote cooperation in finance and the economy in the East Asian region. Japanese researchers are as follows:

Presentations were made and discussions followed both in the morning session (closed) and afternoon session (open). The outline of the open session that took place is as follows. The second meeting is scheduled to be held in 2012 in Japan.
