Ahead of RIETI Policy Symposium on "Corporate Governance from an International Perspective: Diversity or Convergence,"a two-day academic conference was held on Jan. 8 and 9, bringing together more than 10 leading researchers from the United States, Europe and East Asia to discuss on relationships between institutional reform and corporate activities as well as complementarities and relationships between the ownership and financing structure of a company and its employment system.
