RIETI Signs Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA)

RIETI signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in November 2015.

IZA, established in 1998 in Bonn, Germany, is a private independent economic research institute focused on the analysis of global labor markets. It operates an international network of about 1,500 economists and researchers spanning across more than 50 countries. It actively promotes evidence-based analysis and policy advice.

RIETI co-hosted a workshop and symposium with IZA in May 2015. In light of the past record of cooperation, RIETI and IZA have agreed to formalize their relationship through a written agreement so that both parties may collaborate on a regular basis. The present memorandum was signed as such an agreement.

RIETI has been active in international activities and promoting research exchange with overseas institutes. RIETI aims to further develop its international network and enhance its international research activities by engaging in more active exchanges with IZA.
